My paintings result from a poetic and symbolic exploration regarding personal freedom and self transcendence.
Through a game of spontaneous brushstrokes and free associations, I represent anthropomorphic figures within imaginative mental spaces and primal landscapes that include symbolic and animistic elements such as trees, rocks, rivers, ponds, bonfires, grass leaves, mountains and clouds; among others.
I am interested in representation through painting because of the possibility that offers of registering a variety of feelings and intentions through immediate primordial gestures that overlap during the making of it and how this process makes appear an enigmatic world within the work.
I believe that painting is a way to seek for the mysterious and wondrous in everyday life.
